A Step-by-Step on How to Become an HFA-Certified Weight Trainer (OFC Approved)

Do you want to work in an exciting gym environment? Becoming an HFA-certified Weight Trainer will give you the freedom to take clients through basic programs and work in a weight room. If you are passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle and desire to turn that into a rewarding career, HFA can help get you there!

In order to become an HFA-certified Weight Trainer, you need to complete the following in this specific sequential order:

  1. Fitness Theory Course (a 32 hour course)
  2. National Fitness Exam
  3. First Aid (Occupational or Industrial) & CPR (C)
  4. Weight Training Course (a 20 hour course)


Will I receive a certificate in the end:

You will receive a professional weight training certificate upon successful completion of this course. This will be your official certificate of completion. It will come to you in PDF format via email. Please save this to your computer for reference. Please note that there is a $10.00 + GST administration fee for re-issuing certificates should you lose your first issuance.
